Purcell Miller Tritton are well known for their conservation expertise. Less well known is our wide portfolio of new buildings. Many clients seek to use our design skills for new buildings where they have a sensitive site which is adjacent to listed buildings or scheduled monuments or in a conservation area. Our combination of sensitive design skills and a detailed knowledge of the planning and listed building process has enabled us to achieve planning permissions for new buildings on the most difficult of sites. We aim to use our knowledge of traditional construction methods and materials. A new building by Purcell Miller Tritton, therefore, is unlikely to make extensive use of glass or steel. It is more likely to be constructed of brick, stone or timber, sympathetic and familiar materials which are straightforward to work, easy to repair and, above all, comfortable to touch and to look at.
