Location St James's, London
Services Full Architectural ServIces

Purcell Miller Tritton completed the design of a new ten storey extension to the London Library. Known as the Anstruther Wing it incorporates a meeting room, storage for 70,000 volumes on mobile shelving and a café at street level.

Squeezed between existing buildings, the only part of the extension which is visible is the tall, narrow elevation to Duke Street, St James’s.

Here the practice’s experience of natural stone, brickwork, leadwork and high quality timber joinery has been brought to bear.
