Bourn Hall Clinic is a 42-bed private hospital in a Grade I Listed building, Purcell Miller Tritton designed an extension housing new twin operating theatres and supporting laboratory, and sterile supply areas.
The new buildings are located on a sensitive site between two Grade I listed buildings. The Hall houses patients’ day facilities, consulting rooms and offices. The original stable block now houses laboratories.
The new clinic replaces a temporary 30-bed clinic which was housed in temporary cabins. Some of these occupied the site of the new building and had to be moved before building work could start. The clinic was kept in operation throughout the whole building works programme
