Blue Boar Quad is a seminal, Modernist building, designed by Powell & Moya and built in 1968 for Christ Church Oxford. It provides student accommodation and is now listed Grade II*.
Since its construction it has developed problems due to damp penetration, condensation and failure of some of the services installations.
Purcell Miller Tritton was initially appointed to undertake a feasibility study to determine the causes of building failure and identify options for repairs and alterations. Works include the creation of additional student rooms at roof level and the formation of a lecture theatre within the existing building.
