Built in two phases to an overall design by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and J.Theo Halliday, Battersea Power Station and site is being transformed into a cultural, entertainment, business and residential complex by Parkview International London Plc. The conservation strategy will ensure the building's character, integrity and historic fabric are protected and used to enhance the new designs. Purcell Miller Tritton have developed a Conservation Strategy to assist in a practical way with the conservation of the existing Battersea Power Station building through its repair, alteration, and reoccupation as part of the regeneration of the whole Battersea Power Station site. The Conservation Strategy is one of a suite of documents submitted in February 2006 in support of the Listed Building Consent Application. The practice is also advising on ways to manage the complex and intricate planning processes involved in developing and maintaining such a sensitive and historic site by assisting with the production of a minor works management plan.
