Purcell Miller Tritton success in Colchester

Leading architects and historic building consultants, Purcell Miller Tritton, has won a series of assignments in Colchester to further cement its reputation as one of the leading practices in East Anglia, with an expertise that extends to increasing activity in the leisure sectors to carrying out Feasibility Studies across Colchester borough.

Working with Colchester Borough Council, Purcell Miller Tritton has provided services on a variety of projects in the area that include the proposed refurbishment of the fitness pool building at Colchester Leisure World, phased repairs to the Roman Walls surrounding Colchester and improved access to Colchester Town Hall which involves the installation of a new passenger lift in order to comply with DDA standards. Feasibility Studies have also been carried out for both the Old Library area at the Town Hall and for Highwood’s Country Park Resource Centre, with the possibility of building a new centre in the future.

Other activity in the area involved working closely with a number of Colchester’s museums. The practice has carried out emergency repairs to the doorway of The Natural History Museum, as well as providing minor repairs and a Condition Report for the Hollytrees Museum, of which extensive work has previously been conducted.
