Thursday, 11th January 2007

Leading architect and historic buildings consultant, Purcell Miller Tritton, is opening a new office in Oxford. The move brings the total number of Purcell Miller Tritton offices to nine.

Dr David Pendery has been appointed to set up the Oxford office. He joins the partnership from Banbury-based Acanthus Clews Architects where he specialised in repairs and restoration work on ecclesiastical buildings. David is also experienced in repairs, alterations and refurbishments to listed public buildings and private homes. Through his 18 years as an architect, David has received a number of awards including three plaques and five certificates from the Oxford Preservation Trust and one Europa Nostra plaque recognising his expertise in conservation architecture.

Commenting on the plans for the Oxford office, David said, “Purcell Miller Tritton’s strength lies in our ability to be creative within the constraints of historical and listed environments. Oxford has a wealth of historic and listed buildings and conservation sites so we are ideally placed to help maintain, restore and improve those buildings while retaining their architectural integrity.

“We have ongoing projects in the City for the University so we already have a presence here in Oxford on which to build.”
